LoxP sites were inserted 190 bp upstream and 220 bp downstream of exon 2. A FRT-flanked neomycin cassette was also inserted further downstream of exon 2. Germline transmission was confirmed by genomic PCR. The presence of the loxP sites or the neocassette was determined not to alter gene expression. (J:128713)
