A construct with the murine Lta (tumor necrosis factor-beta) gene expressed from a 600-bp fragment of the rat insulin 2 promoter (RIP) was injected into fertilized oocytes. Founders 5 (~10 copies), 16 (~100 copies), and 42 (~100 copies) were bred with C57BL/6 mice. Lta RNA was detected in pancreas, kidney and skin of transgenic mice by Northern blot. (J:127705)
