Tg(Gad1*7.5-lacZ)69Zka

A 7.5 kb fragment of the 5' promotor region of Gad1 together with exon 1, intron 1, and part of exon 2 was fused to the bacterial lacZ gene. Expression was observed in CNS neurons of adult mice and their embryonic precursors. Six lines expressing lacZ were established all of which varied in their expression patterns. Line 69 has been entered as representative of these lines. (J:127166)
