A neo cassette flanked by frt sites and containing a 3' loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 3 and an additional loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 1 enclosing a gene enhancer as well as exons 2 and 3. Insertion was confirmed by Southern blot analysis. (J:127233)
