Exon 16 was flanked with loxP sites and a PGK-neo cassette with a loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 6. The neo cassette was removed by cre-mediated recombination following a cross to Tg(EIIa-cre)C5379Lmgd mice. Insertions into the genomic DNA were confirmed by Southern blot analysis. (J:126506)
