A floxed neomycin resistance cassette was placed adjacent to exon 5 and a loxP site was placed in the other flanking intron. The neomycin resistance cassette was subsequently removed by transient expression of Cre recombinase, leaving exon 5 flanked by loxP sites (J:125953)
