An IRES-lacZ and floxed or frt neo cassette were inserted into the 3' end of exon 9. Insertion was confirmed by PCR of genomic DNA. A beta-galactosidase assay was used to confirm expression from the lacZ gene. RT-PCR was used to confirm that endogenous gene expression was unaffected. (J:125817)
