A "degradation resistant" human cyclin E cDNA was placed under the control of the human surfactant protein C promoter which causes expression in alveolar type II and bronchioalveolar cells. The protein expressed by this transgenes has a threonine for alanine substitution at amino acid residues 62 and 380. Transgenic protein was detected immunologically. (J:122698)
