A vector containing the human class II-associated invariant chain gene (hIi, CD74) and promoter was injected into (C57BL/6J x DBA/2J)F1 x C57BL/6J embryos. This line (AR194) was initially backcrossed to C57BL/6-congenic invariant chain targeted mutant mice and later crossed with inbred C57BL/6 animals for a total of more than 12 generations by the donating investigator. This line no longer carries the invariant chain targeted mutation. (J:88717)
