Tg(TcrLCMV)2Aox

Two expression cassettes, one containing a 17.5 kb Tcr Valpha2.3-JalphaDK1 rearrangement and the other containing a 19.5 kb Tcr Vbeta8.3-Jbeta2.5 rearrangement, were coinjected into fertilized eggs. The injected fragments are specific for the LCMV GP-derived epitope P13 (amino acids 61-80) in the context of H2-IAb. Two transgenic mouse lines (referred to as Smarta1 and Smarta2) were derived from a single transgenic founder. Each sub-line was given its own allele because of phenotypic differences between the sub-lines. The CD4:CD8 ratio of single positive thymocytes for this line is 6:1. (J:92228)
