The entire 740bp light chain intronic enhancer, including the MAR (matrix attachment site) (Ekappa, located between Igkj and Igkc gene segment clusters) was replaced with a loxP site flanked neomycin resistance gene cassette. A Southern blot was used to confirm the replacement. (J:32727)
