A loxP-flanked neomycin resistance cassette replaced part of the upstream UTR and coding region of this gene. Mice were crossed with Cre recombinase transgenic mice to remove the neo cassette. Northern blot and immunohistochemical analysis on brains of homozygous mice confirmed lack of expression of this gene with no compensatory increases in expression of the related Ntng1 gene.
