A targeting vector was designed to replace exons 4-7 with a neomycin resistance cassette and a thymidine kinase (TK) gene. Western blotting revealed the complete absence of protein in homozygous mutant testes. Immunohistochemical analysis and immunofluorescence confirmed the absence of detectable protein in homozygous mutant sperm. (J:101977, J:219150)
