A construct containing the human BACE1 cDNA inserted in the mouse Thy1 gene cassette in the pTSC plasmid was microinjected into day 0.5 pronuclear DBA/C57BL/6 embryos. 5 founders were generated and line 16 was found to have high human BACE1 expression by Western blot. Line 16 was established for further use and characterization. (J:93635)
