Murine App cDNA containing R609D and K612E mutations was inserted downstream of the human APP gene promoter with a beta-globin intron interspersed. The construct was microinjected into 1.5-day-old pre-nuclear embryos from FVB females. Transgene expression in the brain was verified by RT-PCR. Expression was low compared to endogenous App levels in the mouse brain. (J:32213)
