The pGT1Lxf gene trap vector containing a beta-geo inserted into intron 10. A 5.1 kb transcript was detected with the expected size of the fusion between the truncated locus (exons 1-10) and the beta-geo. Because the transcript was disrupted before the highly conserved PUMILIO homology domain, a functional protein is unlikely. (J:123531)
