The targeting vector inserted a Bcl2 splice acceptor, IRES and an frt-flanked neo, with a loxP site on the 5' end of the cassette into intron 1. An additional loxP site was inserted into intron 2. The insertion of the cassette inactivated the locus. (J:123415)
