This transgene consists of the murine Col2a1 promoter and the chondrocyte-specific enhancer region and an in-frame fusion of the murine Mef2c and the viral coactivator VP16 activation domain. The promoter drives expression of Mef2c/VP16 in endochondral cartilage. (J:119152)
