An approximately 450kb BAC fragment within the larger region flanked by markers D15Mit251 and D15Mit155 was used to create a transgene that could rescue the phenotype of the homozygous AnkAnk mouse. The BAC fragment contains 11 EST clusters, including the Ank gene. (J:63420)
