A 3.5 kb fragment containing the coding sequence of the rat Hr cDNA was inserted between the human keratin 14 (KRT14) promoter/rabbit beta-globin intron and the KRT14 5' UTR/polyadenylation signal. Hr protein expression is high in the skin in early postnatal development, and remains above wild-type levels as development proceeds. (J:102493)
