A codon optimized version (for mammalian translation) of the reverse tetracycline transactivator was cloned behind the 5.5kb alpha myosin heavy chain promoter. Reporter construct assays showed that this transgene is uniformly transcribed in cardiac myocytes, and not in various other tissues tested. (J:70619)
