The insertion of a neomycin resistance gene resulted in the deletion of 1458 bp of the locus, including 104 bp of exon 2 and 1354 bp of intron 2. The predicted mRNA consists of the signal peptide followed by 7 amino-terminal amino acids and a stop codon. Western blot confirmed absence of protein in mutant liver microsomes. (J:121818)
