The Vbeta13 gene segment with its endogenous promoter and recombination signal sequences and a floxed pgk-neomycin resistance cassette is inserted upstream of the D segment. Insertion was confirmed by Southern blot analysis of ES cells and by increased expression of Vbeta13 T cells in homozygous mice. (J:120387)
