The full length protein was expressed, as well as a FLAG tag. A floxed neo included in the vector was subsequently removed via cre mediated recombination. Expression of the knock-in transcript was similar to wild-type in localization, however, expression levels were lower. Likewise, protein expression was lower as well, demonstrating that the allele is a hypomorph. (J:119678)
