The transgene includes the SV40 large T antigen (Tag) gene, containing a deletion in the early region that eliminates expression of small T antigen, driven by the rat probasin promoter fragment extending from -11500 to +28 bp ("large probasin promoter"). Seven lines were established: 12T-1, 12T-5, 12T-7f, 12T-7s, 12T-8. 12T-10, and 12T-11. This 12T-7f line contains multiple copies of the transgene. (J:48623)
