A floxed neomycin selection cassette was inserted 5' to exon 1 and a third loxP site was inserted in intron 1. This is the same targeting event that created Fstl3tm1Alsc. Subsequent mating to mice carrying a cre expressing transgene resulted in excision of the neo selection cassette leaving loxP sites on either side of exon 1. (J:119526)
