Cre recombinase cDNA and an frt-flanked neo cassette was inserted into exon 2. Crossing with mice expressiong FLP recombinase in the germline removed the neo. These mice express cre recombinase in nigrostriatal dopamine neurons of the midbrain. (J:119515)
