A vector including an IRES-LacZ and a floxed PGK-neo cassette was unexpectedly inserted at the 3' end of the gene resulting in minimal disruption of the coding sequence. Correct expression of the reporter relative to the endogenous protein was confirmed by beta-glactosidase assay and immunostaining brain sections with antibodies for Lhx6 and beta-galactosidase. QRT-PCR confirmed reduced transcript expression. This allele is hypomorphic. (J:119476, J:198547)
