Exons 1 through 6 were replaced with an IRES-LacZ, floxed PGK-neo cassette. The null allele was confirmed by the absence of mRNA and protein in brain, kidney, spleen, liver, pancrease, intestine and ovary tissue as detected by RT-PCR and immunohistochemistry, respectively. (J:119474)
