2kb of the human promoter and 3kb of downstream sequence were used to drive the expression of Cre in the brain and spinal cord. Two lines were created (lines 50 and 13) with only line 50 exhibiting expression. Crosses to a LacZ reporter strain was used to test the transgene insertion where by recombination resulted in neural LacZ expression. (J:77229)
