Exons 2-4 were replaced with a floxed neomycin resistance cassette. The neo was subsequently removed as the targeting vector also contained a cre recombinase gene under the control of the testes-specific angiotensin-converting enzyme gene promoter. RT-PCR confirmed absence of transcript in mutant spleens. (J:118867)
