An nls-lacZ which directs lacZ expression to the nucleus and a floxed NEO cassette were inserted into exon 1 via homologous recombination. RT-PCR and Western blot analysis confirmed absence of RNA and protein expression in homozygous fibroblasts. (J:118291)
