A targeting vector was used to place a floxed neomycin-thymidine kinase expression cassette upstream of exon 2 and a lox P site downstream of the exon. ES cells were transfected with a Cre expression plasmid to excise the neo cassette, leaving the floxed exon. (J:79166)
