A concatamer of sleeping beauty transposable elements each consisting of the improved inverted repeat direct repeat sequence specific for sleeping beauty transposase flanking a carp beta-actin splice acceptor site, stop signals in each of the 3 reading frames, the encaphalomyocarditis virus IRES, the Tet-Off sequence, and SV40 late polyadenylation signal. In addition a splice acceptor site from mouse Hprt and a V5 epitope tag were placed in reverse orientation. Finally loxP sites were placed inside of the inverted repeat sequences. These elements are able to trap genes independent of insertion orientation. In line 6600. 27 copies of the transposable element are integrated in chromosome 11 (B5-C). (J:117975)
