Part of Cd8a enhancer 8ii, specifically cluster IV DNaseI hypersensitivity sites 4 and 5 referred to as C8ii (CIV-4,5), was deleted by homologous recombination in ES cells, leaving a neomycin selection cassette in place of the 8ii enhancer. (J:113136)
