A targeting vector was designed to insert a TM-lacZ gene and a neomycin selection gene into the locus, replacing the coding sequence spanning from exon 2 to exon 5. The first 32 amino acids fused to the TM-lacZ after splicing. Staining confirmed expression of lacZ under the control of the endogenous promoter. (J:117678)
