This transgene contains the mouse Defcr2 (defensin related cryptdin 2) promoter region (-6500 to +34) and an attenuated diphtheria toxin allele with a Gly128Asp substitution. This allele has reduced potency (15-30 fold) compared to wild-type diphtheria toxin. Expression of the transgene is targeted to Paneth, granule goblet and intermediate cells of the intestine. Two lines were established but no line numbers were provided. Data for both lines were presented. (J:43025)
