BayGenomics ES cell line RRE056 contains a gene trap vector inserted right after exon 12. The vector contains the En2 (engrailed 2) intron and subsequent splice acceptor (SA), and beta-geo (B-geo) reporter along with the SV40 polyadenylation signal. The insertion site allows efficient splicing of transcripts from exon 12 to the splice acceptor in the gene trap vector, disrupting the conserved MCM box spanning exons 10-14 of the Mcm4 gene.
