The pGT1Lxf gene trap vector, containing a splice-acceptor sequence upstream of a betageo, was inserted into exon 2. The resulting transcript contains exons 1 and 2 from the locus and the betageo. Nortern and Western blot analyses confirmed absence of wild type expression of paraoxonase 2 transcript and protein, respectively. (J:116935)
