A targeting vector was designed to remove amino acids 5-554, encoded by exons 3-10, and insertion of a lacZ reporter in-frame with amino acid 4. Absence of transcript was confirmed by RT-PCR. Immunostaining detected expression of the lacZ gene. (J:115868)
