This transgene resulted from pronuclear injection of a construct comprised of a 9.4 kb sequence of Olfr16 from 129/Sv, including all 3 exons, with an IRES-taulacZ cassette 3 base pairs downstream of the stop codon. Olfr16 and lacZ are bicistronically expressed under the Olfr16 promoter with the pattern of expression restricted to a subset of mature olfactory sensory neurons in zone 4. (J:78878)
