The pGTOpfs gene trap vector inserted into intron 4 of the locus. This vector contained the En2 splice acceptor site, betageo fused to a neomycin resistance cassette and the SV40 polyA signal. Transcripts from mutants contained the N-terminal and two C3H zinc fingers of Mbnl2 fused in frame to beta-geo. (J:112061)
