Tg(H2-T)5Yuo

The transgene comprises a 15.5 kb DNA fragment of clone 1B-1 from a lambda phage library of liver genomic DNA from the M. m. molossinus-derived inbred strain MSM that includes a 5,420 bp sequence containing all the coding exons and introns, 3.8 kb of 5' and 6.3 kb of 3' flanking DNA of a non-classical MHC Class I gene of the H2-T group. Although expression of the native gene in MSM mice is restricted to thymus and intestine, northern blot analysis detects transcripts in thymus, intestine, spleen, lymph nodes, bone marrow and testis of transgenic mice. FACS analysis with anti-TL antibody demonstrated expression of the protein in cells from thymus, lymph nodes and spleen of transgenic mice. (J:19193, J:113017)
