A targeting vector was designed to insert the human IGKC and a neo cassette such that the sequence containing a splice signal and 12 base pairs of endogenous sequence were replaced. The remainder of the locus was rendered nonfunctional. Flow cytometry demonstrated the expression of humanized proteins on B cell surfaces. (J:113008)
