This transgene consists of the murine alpha-myosin heavy chain promoter driving the expression of mouse Agtr1a (angiotensin II type 1 receptor). Additionally, a tyrosinase minigene was co-injected with the transgene construct to allow visual identification of transgenic offspring coat color. Radioligand binding studies and RT-PCR confirm the specific expression of the transgene in cardiomyocytes. (J:40974)
