A gene trap vector containing a splice acceptor, an ORF encoding a CD4 transmembrane domain, a lacZ/neo fusion cassette, and an IRES and PLAP coding region followed by a polyA signal was inserted into intron 1. RT-PCR confired the absence of wild-type transcript in mutants. (J:110040)
