A LacZ-neomycin cassette was inserted into the gene so that the endogenous gene promoter drives expression of beta-galactosidase. RNA transcripts were detected in all tissues analysed. LacZ expression was detected in most tissues examined, particularly nervous system and lungs. No LacZ expression was detected in lymph nodes, aorta, liver, or pancreas. (J:101679)
