The transgene comprises a 6.4-kb fragment containing a B*5101 allele of the human major histocompatibility complex, class I, B antigen gene. Surface expression of the transgene product on peripheral blood lymphocytes, spleen cells and thymocytes was demonstrated by flow cytometry with an anti-HLA Class I monoclonal antibody. (J:110793)
