This allele contains a 159-nt long human MYC sequence encoding the carboxy terminal part of the protein in place of the corresponding mouse sequence. The allele contained a floxed neomycin resistance cassette with an RNA polymerase II promoter but without a polyA sequence immediately downstream of the MYC stop codon, which was subsequently removed by transient expression of cre recombinase.
