A lacZ/neomycin selection cassette was inserted in-frame into the first coding exon of the gene. Immunoblot analysis of protein extracted from total brain homogenate demonstrated that no endogenous protein was expressed from this allele. Expression of beta-galactosidase was not reported. (J:47170)
